The Edge for Caring Professionals:
Developing the Healer’s Stance
The Edge is the home of the Healer’s Stance. It is this location in the Structure where it is possible to connect deeply without merging, and to hold a boundary, without withdrawing. It has nothing to do with what to do and everything to do with how to do it.
- Learn to use your intention and subtle anatomy to make a connection with others using the Edge of your energy Structure.
- Develop heightened awareness and greater sensitivity without leaving your body, going unconscious, or being overly vulnerable.
It is an instinctive human caretaking response to take on the pain or problems of another person. Many wonderful nurturing people feel like they are being sympathetic or loving when they merge with another to be of help. It is especially difficult with the critically ill, distraught or nonverbal individual to keep professional distance.
But what happens to the caring professional after years of absorbing other people’s issues? Even worse, what happens after years of TRYING NOT TO ABSORB other people’s issues by staying distant or withdrawn?
Using the Core Individuationtm technique of the Edge to accomplish the Healer’s Stance is the missing piece.
- Find your own Healer’s Stance
- Stay clear from one client to the next
- Maintain compassionate distance
- You already know “what” to do: learn “how” to do it
- Learn why merging with your patient is unnecessary
- Interact with universal energies to augment your existing skill set
- Increase your stamina by using your energy Structure
- Learn you are more than you thought you were
